WE THE PEOPLE
Marshwood finished first in the Northeast division, which includes the New England states, NY, NJ, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. These students from Marshwood High School made Maine proud at the 27th annual We the People National Finals, a nationwide competition focusing on the U.S. Constitution.
Senators Susan Collins and Angus King met with this inspiring group of 27 seniors from Marshwood High School in South Berwick. The group represented Maine in a three-day academic competition on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights held by the Center for Civic Education. They were judged by panels of constitutional scholars, lawyers, journalists, and government leaders.
