SOUTH BERWICK, Maine — MEF Unplugged, a musical showcase featuring local young talent, is coming to Marshwood High School from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 1, and benefits the Marshwood Education Foundation.
Local resident and Berwick Academy music teacher Chip Harding has directed MEF Unplugged the last few years.
“This event has become an amazing annual acoustic concert event, featuring teenage musicians from the school district, including students who attend both Marshwood High School and Berwick Academy,” Harding said. “This year’s concert is going to showcase another wave of stunning young talent, with an emphasis on collaboration and shared musical ideas.”
There will be numerous original songs as well as a mix of genres from show tunes to traditional folk music and alternative contemporary, he said.
Tickets will be available at the door the day of the show at a cost of $5 per person and $20 maximum per family. For information or to make a donation, visit www.marshwood-education-foundation.org.
