Seacoast Roundup: Marshwood baseball team wins eighth straight

GORHAM, Maine — Jake Lebel contributed three hits and a strong pitching performance, leading the Marshwood High School baseball team to a 13-1 win over Gorham on Saturday. The game ended after five innings due to the 10-run rule.

The Hawks improved to 11-2 in Western Maine Class A with their eighth straight win. Gorham fell to 4-8.

CJ Davis had four hits and two RBIs for Marshwood, while Zach Doyon (three hits) and Zach Hodges (two hits, two RBIs) also came through offensively.

Lebel pitched four innings, allowing two walks while striking out three. He moved to 4-0 on the season with the win.

The Hawks play under the lights (7 p.m.) at Biddeford on Thursday. They will then close out the regular season with home games against Scarborough and Bonny Eagle.
