NOTICE OF AN IMPORTANT MEETING ABOUT THE 236 VINE STREET INTERSECTION

Meeting To Discuss an Intersection  Reconstruction Project At the Intersection of Route 236  And Vine Street

Thursday, June 26th, 2014  6:30 p.m.  Located at the  South Berwick Town Office  180 Main Street  South Berwick, Maine

Please join MaineDOT at a public meeting to discuss an intersection  reconstruction project located at the intersection of Route 236 and Vine Street in  South Berwick. Proposed improvements include relocating the Academy Street  connector approximately 350 feet to the north in order to create two three legged  intersections. Exclusive left turn lanes will be constructed for Vine Street and the  relocated Academy St connector. Raised median islands will be constructed  within Route 236 at both ends of the project. The speed limit on Route 236 will be  lowered to 35 MPH starting at the southerly end of the project heading north all the way through to the existing 25 MPH speed limit.   Accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities.
