Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all School Board Meetings will be held in a virtual setting.
How to log onto Virtual Board Meetings
Click the link provided on the District’s website (Link for the April 1, 2020 Board Meeting: https://meet.google.com/pzn-ypia-zsq), and you will be brought to the Google Meet Lobby. You may be asked to allow your browser access to your camera and/or microphone. If you would like to be able to ask questions, you will at least need to allow access to a microphone on your device. Once you allow access to your camera and/or microphone, you will be asked to provide your name. Please also include your town of residence when requesting access to the meeting. Once you have added your name and town of residence you can ask permission to join the meeting and the meeting administrator will grant you access.
Virtual Board Meeting Etiquette
The virtual meeting format is new for everyone but we ask that all members of the public attempting to join our virtual meeting abide by the following:
- ● Log in early, to make sure you do not miss anything if you experience technical difficulties
- ● Mute your microphone when you are not talking to minimize background noise
- ● Unmute your microphone and speak up when you are talking so everyone can hear you
- ● Be aware of your surroundings, as all meeting attendees and whoever watches the recorded meeting will be able to see and hear you and what’s going on around you
A note for all those logging into the Virtual School Board Meetings, the meetings are being recorded and will be posted on the District’s website (http://www.rsu35.org/). If you do not want to be a part of the recorded meeting, you can find videos of the recorded Board meetings on the District’s website.
