MGWS’s Special Olympians were cheered on Friday as they competed in 4 events: standing long jump, sprint, 2-lap run and softball throw. The whole school came together to encourage these amazing athletes!
On June 5th, band and chorus students entertained us all! Both the 4th and 5th grade bands were in fine form and showed amazing progress. The choruses performed a retrospective of rock throughout the ages which wowed the crowd!
Last Thursday, MGWS students were treated to a chemistry magic show prepared by Mr. Luciano’s students. Students saw soda bottle explosion, colored flames and a cloud in a bottle, among other wondrous feats. It truly was magical! click on title to see pictures!

After careful planning, building, testing and tweaking of their creations, fifth graders gathered to race their solar cars last Friday. The weather wasn’t cooperating so the event was moved indoors, but that did not dampen the high spirits of the students! Click on the pictures to see more!
