Marshwood Great Works School’s Winter Chorus and Band Concert

Marshwood Great Works School’s Winter Chorus and Band Concert is coming up quickly and Mr. Miller and I have lots of information to share with you. The concert will take place on Tuesday, December 10th at 1:30pm and 7:00pm in the GWS gymnasium. The snow date for the concert is Wednesday, December 11th, same times. Parents are welcome to attend either or both of the performances.
We would like kids to wear concert dress for our evening concert. This means ‘dress your best.’ Dark bottoms and festive tops, holiday dresses or skirts- no shorts, sweatpants or jeans please. Students only need to be in concert dress for the evening, although we encourage students to look nice for all performances. For the evening concert we would like band members to meet in the cafeteria at 6:30pm to tune and warm-up. Chorus members will meet in the band room to warm-up. If students are in both groups, they need to report to the cafeteria to get ready for band.
Due to the large number of students involved in chorus and band, we are once again offering our shuttle buses. The buses meet you at various locations in South Berwick and Eliot so you can park your car there and get front door drop off at GWS. There is a sign-up sheet attached to this email and a hard copy will be sent home tomorrow. The locations and times are Central School, 6:15pm pickup, Eliot Commons, 6:00pm pickup, Marshwood Middle School, 6:00pm pickup.
Finally, the chorus will be going on a field trip to Eliot Elementary and Central School on Friday, December 13th. A permission slip is attached to this email and a hard copy will be sent home tomorrow. Students need to turn in permission slips to me by Thursday, December 12th in order to attend the field trip.
Please feel free to contact me at janice.marro@rsu35.org or Mr. Miller at dave.miller@rsu35.org or at (207) 384-4010 with any questions or concerns! We look forward to sharing our music with you next week!
