SKOWHEGAN — The Marshwood High School football team showed how dangerous its offense can be when it’s firing on all cylinders Friday.
On this night, the Hawks were productive on the ground and through the air.
Kyle Glidden rushed nine times for 181 yards and two touchdowns, and Tom Springer passed for three scores in Marshwood’s 55-12 road win over Skowhegan.
The Hawks (1-0 in Class B South) never turned the football over and benefited from Glidden’s three touchdowns — one of them coming on a 71-yard run and another on an 8-yard reception.
Springer finished 7-for-9 passing for 81 yards, and also added 79 yards rushing, scoring on a 31-yard carry.
Justin Bryant scored two touchdowns, one on a 1-yard run and another on an 8-yard catch; and Joe Taran caught a 25-yard touchdown pass for the Hawks.
