Their will be a girls ice hockey interest meeting at York HS on Thursday, October 19th at 6:30 in the York HS library for any returning or new players and their parents.

The Interact Club will be collecting cans during the home football game this Friday night, October 20th. Please bring non-perishable food items to help support Project Share through the Eliot Lions club.

There will be a brief meeting for students interested in stage crew foe The Little Mermaid on Thursday, October 19th at 2:20 in H108. If you are unable to attend, please see Ms. West for more information.

There will be a brief informational meet for all students interested in competing on the ski tam this winter on Monday, October 23rd at 2:30 in the learning center. If you are interested in participating but cannot attend, see Coach Luciano in F101 before the 23rd.

Attn. Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors:   Marshwood Student Government is pleased to introduce a new peer-tutoring program. If you would like a chance to earn community service hours, work on your social, emotional and communication skills, all while helping your peers, please consider joining our program as a tutor. Applications can be found in the main office and will be attached to an email you will be receiving. Once completed, applications need to be turned into Mr. Lietz’s mailbox in the main office. If you have any questions, please contact Makenna Janes, Will Hausmann, Matt White or Carlie White.

Attn. Seniors: If you have a November 1st college application deadline, please see your school counselor as soon as possible. As a reminder, counselors require two weeks notice to process applications.

The next college mini fair will be this Wednesday, October 18th. It is open to all sophomores, juniors and seniors. Please sign up in the guidance office by Wednesday morning in order to attend. There will be several colleges in attendance as well as a representative from the Portsmouth Navel Shipyard. Please take advantage of this opportunity.

The French Club will meet on Thursday, October 19 at 2:20 in D204.

The GSA will meet this Thursday after school in the learning center.

All seniors are reminded that MHS is hosting 4 senior admissions review days this year.  Schools that will be participating are:  U Maine, Orono, U Maine, Farmington, University of Southern Maine and University of New England. All interested students are reminded that on-line applications for the Application Review Days must be completed by early November. This is a great opportunity to find out what your chances of acceptance are, get information about the schools you are interested in and waive application fees, too.  Interested seniors should check in with their school counselor ASAP
