MHS Junior Wins Statewide Math Competition

Nicholas Tice, class of 2016, was recently named the 2014 Maine Society of Land Surveyors Trig Star based on the result of the local Trig Star competition held at Marshwood High School last May.  On the local level, Nicholas had the highest score in the shortest time given to assess a student’s ability to apply trigonometry to solve real land surveying problems.  Nicholas went on to compete with other state winners for the title of national Trig Star.  He was awarded a $250.00 scholarship for his achievement by the Maine Society of land Surveyors.
