Marshwood Middle School’s “We The People”

Marshwood Middle School’s “We The People” is a civics-oriented curriculum that is sponsored by the Center for Civic Education. In this extracurricular program, eighteen seventh- and eighth-grade students are completing each of the program’s thirty lessons at their own pace, and then, in small groups of three, forming “expert groups” about one of the program’s six units of study. Student groups will prepare a presentation of their respective units, and will make their presentations at the We The People Middle School Invitational Competition in Washington, DC, this spring. In addition to the competition, students will have the opportunity to see and experience all that our nation’s capital has to offer!
