The MSAD #35 Transportation Department is currently working on establishing the 2019-2020 bus stop locations and times for both morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off for all South Berwick, Eliot and Rollinsford students. Transportation inquiries should be made to Heather Webster, MSAD #35 Transportation Coordinator, by e-mail at heather.webster@rsu35.org or by phone (207) 384-4681. Specific questions regarding Rollinsford student transportation should be directed to First Student Incorporated at (603) 692-4406 or SAU #56 business administrator at (603) 692-4450. Rollinsford students bused to Marshwood Middle School can access the MSAD #35 website at http://www.rsu35.org or the SAU #56 website at www.sau56.org for the posting of 2019-2020 bus routes, pick-up and drop-off times. All South Berwick, Eliot, and Rollinsford bus route information will be available using the Transfinder iPortal found on the MSAD #35 transportation website by Friday, August 16th. Late bus transportation will be available to all South Berwick, Eliot and Rollinsford students who remain after school for athletics, intramurals, clubs, activities and/or extra help beginning on Wednesday, September 4th. Late bus transportation will depart MMS at approximately 4:00 PM daily. Late bus transportation is available Monday through Thursday. No late bus on Fridays.

Students will have many opportunities to become connected and involved at Marshwood Middle School. We offer a variety of activities, intramurals and interscholastic athletic choices throughout the school year. A schedule of intramural offerings for the entire school year will be posted on the MMS website once school begins. Examples of intramural choices are robotics, challenge course, sewing & crafts, piano, guitar, art, fitness, and gym games. Students are also encouraged to explore participating in a variety of club offerings such as recycling, yearbook, student council, and drama. Fall interscholastic athletics begin on Wednesday, September 4th with the following sports being offered: 7th girls soccer, 8th girls soccer, 7th boys soccer, 8th boys soccer, 7th girls field hockey, 8th girls field hockey, and 6th, 7th, & 8th girls and boys cross country. MMS athletic eligibility requires all prospective athletes to complete mandatory paperwork to include providing proof of health insurance and a current physical within the past 13 months. More athletic and activity information will be provided to our students once school begins. Sport team registration information can be found on the MMS website by going to Departments, Athletics and Parental Forms. Advance athletic registration is encouraged and can be accomplished by visiting the on-line registration document titled FormReleaf. The on-line athletic registration document can be found by visiting the MSAD #35 website, click on the Department tab, and then the Athletic Department heading.

Infinite Campus (I.C.) will continue to be used as a communication tool between teachers, students, and parents. Infinite Campus is one of several ways students and parents can monitor academic achievement and progress. All students and their parents will be assigned usernames and passwords to gain access to personal I.C. information. Please know that I.C. should not be used as the single source to determine a student’s academic progress. Students and parents are encouraged to visit team homework web pages, reference class notes, schedule extra help with teachers, and utilize their school agenda book as additional tools for managing academic progress.

In order to keep open lines of communication between the school and home, it is very important that the school is provided with updated home, cell, and work phone numbers, as well as e-mail addresses. Phone numbers and e-mail addresses will be used during the course of the school year to communicate important school information. You may edit e-mail information as changes occur by signing into your I.C. portal and going into contact preferences. All students will receive a Census Verification form on the first day of school that needs to be reviewed, corrections made if necessary, and sent back to school by the conclusion of the first week of school.
