Parent survey information

Marshwood Middle School Parents and Guardians,

I hope this correspondence finds you all well and navigating the challenges created by the Covid-19 pandemic. The intent of this message is to provide some clarity regarding a recent parent survey that was sent to only those households of Marshwood Middle School (MMS) students currently attending Hybrid (in-person) instruction. The purpose of that survey was to receive logistical feedback from those households which is needed to continue our planning and consideration of adding instructional time for MMS students. Please be reminded that the safety of all students and staff has been and will remain the primary basis for any adjustments that we consider or implement. Although CDC/MDOE social distancing guidelines were recently adjusted, it was not to a degree where significant changes to our current instructional plan can be safely implemented. If it is determined that additional instructional time can be safely accomplished, our plan for doing so will include adjustments to both the Hybrid (In-Person) and the virtual Remote Learning Academy (RLA). Our planning is currently progressing through the developmental stages and I will keep you informed of any plan that we determine safe for implementation along with a timeline for doing so. In the meantime, find ways to stay physically and emotionally healthy, get outside whenever possible, and above all… remain “Marshwood Strong”.

Peace,

Anthony A. Bourbon

Principal
