Annual Veterans Day Assembly
The Great Works School's Annual Veterans Day Assembly will take place on Thursday, November 10th at 9:00 am in the GWS Gymnasium.
The staff and students are very excited about this year's assembly since they have not had an assembly with outside guests since 2019! It's going to be a beautiful morning celebrating our veterans!
Students will read essays, make a book presentation, and participate in chorus performances. There will be guest speakers from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and the local VFW. An organization called House in the Woods will share information about what they do for our veterans. Students are encouraged to bring veteran family members, friends, and neighbors to the event.
The students and staff of Great Works would love to see you there to celebrate our veterans and active-duty military families!
