MLTI Virtual Conference 2022

The theme of this year’s conference is MLTI Launches Space2Connect! The intent of the conference theme is to reflect the many interpretations of space and connection as they relate to Maine students and their use of technology today. All materials will be provided by MLTI at no cost!   Participating students will receive a free t-shirt.  Sessions will start Thursday, May 26, 2022, Late Start.  There will be two sessions:

 Session 1# 9:30-11:00 am 8th Grade

Session 2# 12:00-1:30 pm 7th Grad

Any student in 7th and 8th Grade can attend virtually.  A video explaining the conference will be shown to all 7th and 8th Grade students and if they are interested they can sign up. Those students attending will be pulled from class during one of the two sessions.

Mary Macedo (MMS Technology Teacher)  and Chris Villemaire (Technology Integrator) will be facilitating the sessions. Interested 8th Graders will attend session one and interested 7th Graders will attend session two.

Sessions will be delivered directly into conference spaces via Zoom meeting where the workshop leader will act as a guest teacher. Workshop leaders will teach the class new skills, provide time for students to practice these new skills, and then support them as they create something new with the new skills that they have learned. This new design will allow students to work together as they explore new resources and applications, create with new digital mediums and collaborate to complete tasks.

Students register by answering five questions on the Google Form.
