The Central School community enjoyed its 8th Annual Arts & Literacy Night on Thursday, 2/26, with an evening of nature-inspired reading, art, and crafts based on the book Bud Finds Her Gift. The new picture book by indigenous author and botanist, Robin Wall Kimmerer, teaches children how to notice their world, and especially nature, with their eyes, ears, fingers, and hearts. Art included making sky paintings, mushrooms, sun catchers, birds' nests, and observational drawings of nature. It was a great night of collaborative and creative family fun.
