On June 12 the Central School 3rd graders went on a field trip to Albacore Park in Portsmouth. There the students got a tour of the Albacore submarine, learned about buoyancy, and explored the museum and memorial garden. General feedback from the students was "Wow! The submarine is so small inside, but cool."
This trip was a great connection to the 3rd graders Lego STEM Robotics unit where they learned about ocean exploration, submarines, and submersibles.
