food drive

For the month of November the students here at Great Works have been working on a food drive for our community. We recognize that many in our community struggle this time of year and so students and staff alike as well as our community have bringing in or dropping off items that will be distributed to those in need within the community.

The staff gave students a goal with an incentive that if the goal was met that there would be staff members to dress up as turkeys on November 25th! As you can imagine students are hoping that they reach their goal and can see staff dressed as turkeys before we leave for Thanksgiving break!

We are happy to announce that the students met their goal!! As a school and with help of our community we collected 37 boxes to be distributed to those in need within our school district!! Thank you so much for all who donated and know that your donations are going to help so many in need!!

Here are our "turkeys" dressed up that the students worked so hard to see!

Our Turkey's also spent the morning with students before school having a dance party in the gym shaking their tail feathers!
