Good News Corner

Each week I want to take the time to spotlight a good news item happening here at Great Works even more than we already do!

In honor of the spirit of Thanksgiving and being thankful I think I can speak for everyone here at Great Works when I say how thankful we are for the community and friendships that are created here whether its friends or staff the relationships made here are truly special and ones that hopefully long lasting through the years!

I am reminded of this quote "Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart" - Eleanor Rosevelt. I feel as this is such a fitting quote for the community here at Great Works School!

That being said we have some amazing examples - this is a few that I want to highlight this week (we truly have so many!) - of friends that go above and beyond for not only their friends but classmates too!

One of them is a 5th grader named Ben Bedard in Mr. Winchester's class and he is described as a true friend that goes above and beyond for his friends and classmates, he is a kind, patient, and considerate young man!

Another example is a group of young men in 5th grade in Miss Tarr's room that have created a friend group that just touches the heart when you see them together! Helping to highlight inclusion, compassion, and kindness within their group but also here at Great Works School!

Again these highlight just a few students within our school and we have so many more! Whether it is an unlikely pairing or friends since toddlers there is truly magic happening in the halls here at Great Works School! In the season of Thanksgiving I again wanted to highlight the amazing friendships and community here at Great Works!
