This morning we started the day with an assembly all about our upcoming WInterfest! Students were given some information about what Winterfest is and when it would be starting and how the fundraiser helps so much of the amazing things we get to do here at Great Works. An informational packet will be going home this afternoon with all the information for families.
Once our business portion of the assembly was completed students met our upcoming 2026 Great Works Winterfest Roster of Athletes!
The 2026 Roster is.... Drumroll Please!

Polar Bear. Hippo. Pug Rider.
Big Round of Applause for our athletes! We kicked off introductions by the athletes filing in and passing the torch around the gym to light our official Winterfest light!
Students also got to see a glimpse of the upcoming games that they will be getting the chance to compete in as well as a sneak peak of the training that the athletes have undergone in preparation for Winterfest!
A few of the games that students got to see the athletes execute were, the snowball walk, a team toboggan relay, and a team snowball fight! Students and classrooms will get to compete in events during Winterfest which will kick off on Feb 6th coinciding with the 2026 Winter Olympics!
