This past week Great Works school put on a Hawks for Hope Fundraiser with Mrs. Hargis's class. Student Austin Clithero spearheaded the event!

Hawks for Hope was started through the Marshwood youth football program where donations from both the home team as well as our opponents teams were sent in. Money as well as items were collected for the Seacoast Cancer Center to make "chemo packages". These chemo packages are used to uplift the spirits of those patients receiving chemo and they are completely free due to these amazing donations.

Over the last two weeks students were able to purchase tickets for a pancake breakfast made and served by our very own Great Works Staff this past Friday! In addition to selling tickets for the breakfast there were also collection boxes for students and staff to bring in items that would be donated to be used in the chemo packages.

The students at Great Works blew us away with the amount of items that they brought in to donate in addition to raising $1200 for the Seacoast Cancer Center! Way to go everyone!!
