Fifth grade students recently got the chance to put their knowledge into a real life classroom experience when they visited Laudholm Farms in Wells this last week.

Recently students have been learning about ecosystems, food chains, and watershed just to name a few.

Laudhold Farms offers an outdoor classroom experience that helps to "explore the interdependence of estuary creatures and their habitats in the great outdoors."

Some of the activities students were able to take part in included testing the water, seeing live aquatic animals, and getting to examine skulls and skins of local wildlife. They also were able to use a watershed model to see how human impact effects estuaries.

Students ended the day with having a picnic lunch and getting time to enjoy the beach before returning back to Great Works!
