Last year, many 4th and 5th grade teachers decided to adopt the “Extreme Readers” unit. It entails students reading books in a certain genre and then completing a project for that mini-unit. This year, Mrs. Morrison's and Mrs. Moore’s classes started their “Extreme Readers” unit with mystery.
At the end of their unit, they invited Lieutenant Chris Burbank of the South Berwick Police Department to come and talk with their students about investigative techniques.
Lt. Burbank loved meeting with the classes and getting to talk about his work. The kids also loved it and had a great time learning about solving cases! What a fun way to end the unit!
