“Great Works School Stewards of the Local Land”
This Marshwood Education mini-grant funded a student trip to Mount Agamenticus so students could compare the ecology and habitats of the Mt. Agamenticus forest to the outdoor classroom environment at Great Works School (GWS) in South Berwick, Maine.
Last May, GWS students were able to hike Mt Agamenticus and
go into the Learning Lodge to use the educational exhibits. The
students were able to compare the woods near GWS and the
Mt Agamenticus area. They were also were able to participate in
Some great discussions about local Maine animals! This field trip
was so meaningful to the classes that were able
To attend! Thank you so much!
