State math competition

On Tuesday, April 4th, the Marshwood High School Math Team traveled to the Civic Center in Augusta Maine to participate in the Maine Association of Math League State Contest.  The Civic Center hosted 88 high schools from the state.  Marshwood's team competed all day participating in six individual rounds, two relay rounds, and two team rounds.  The team included Sean Williams, Riley St. Pierre, Ryan Pote, Kayley Lin, Katalina Abell, Jaelin Trager, James Foss, Zachary Ferioli, Thomas McClellan, and Jack Dalton.  Marshwood competed against 25 teams in Division A and ranked 11th.  They ranked 21st overall.  James Foss received recognition for having an individual score within the top 30 of all sophomores who competed.  Jack Dalton and Thomas McClellan received recognition for having individual scores within the top 30 of all freshmen who competed.
