Great News from Marshwood High School Congratulations to Marshwood Sailor Emily Keith
Huge congratulations to 9th grade Marshwood sailor, Emily Keith, on her 5th place finish in the Silver Fleet at the Optimist Team Trials @sfyc1869.
Emily is a Marshwood athlete and she is on the Marshwood/Traip Sailing team. This is part of Rob Scully's ELO (Extended Learning Opportunities) partnership with Piscataqua Youth Sailing Association.
She just returned from a 10-day trip to San Francisco where she competed in the country's highest level of competition for sailboat racing in her age group. Emily competed against 203 sailors over multiple days of qualifying races in the unforgiving conditions of San Francisco Bay. She placed 5th in Silver Fleet, which puts her among the top 75 sailors in the country, and top 20 females.
