Recently, our Integrated Studies students hosted their 4th annual Thanksgiving Feast as a way to express gratitude to the many people who support them each day. This year, they welcomed 37 guests, including educational technicians, administrators, secretaries, service providers, and building staff who play an important role in their success.
The students took the lead in planning the menu and preparing all of the food in the A Pod and classroom. They also arranged flowers, set the tables, and practiced dining etiquette while sharing the meal with their guests. As part of the celebration, students created personalized “thank you feathers” for each guest, which were added to the Gratitude Turkey mural.
A special addition this year was the invitation extended to students’ siblings, making the event even more meaningful and memorable.
Thank you to everyone in our school community who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure these incredible students feel seen, supported, and valued. If space and facilities allowed, the guest list would have been even longer. I am grateful every day to work alongside such a dedicated group of professionals, and I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break.
