The following students have been selected to represent MHS/SRTC at the upcoming

SkillsUSA

State Competition in Bangor 3/12-3/13. This is an incredible honor and something they've been working very hard on all year, and it's worth a moment of celebration and well-wishes if you see them.

For those who are unfamiliar, the annual SkillsUSA

Maine Competition is a highly competitive event where students—nominated as the best of the best in their schools—demonstrate their expertise in their chosen fields. Over two days, they are evaluated on technical

skills

, written testing, personal interviews, resumes, and prepared presentations. Getting a first place/gold medal finish earns you the opportunity to compete at the national level in June against top students from across the country. This competition not only sharpens industry-specific

abilities

but also strengthens leadership, teamwork, and communication

skills

, preparing students for success in both college and the workforce.

SRTC's Director will be posting their progress and photos on this site and will share the live stream link to Friday evenings awards ceremony on our Facebook page once it's available for anybody who would like to follow along and see who's bringing home the medals! 🥇🥈🥉

Please assist me in congratulating and offering well wishes to our students:
