Congratulations to Hazel Martin and Maeve Long for qualifying to represent Maine at the Eastern High School Championship in March.

Tough loss for our hawks in semi's vs Gray but the girls played great! 50-31! They left it all out there played great! Proud of them!

Marshwood girls placed 7th out of 47 as a team in wrestling states . Kelsie Strong got 2nd and Savannah Chapman got 4th.

Wrestling State results: We ended up taking 4th today at States. Noble took first with 168.5 points, Edward Little took 2nd with 81, Massabesic took 3rd with 80, and we tied Oxford Hills for 4th with 54.5. We had 4 placers and 2 additional wrestlers who have a chance to go to the New England Qualifier (All-States) as alternates if any of the placers drop out. 138: Rogan Boisvert 4th 144: Jon Buttrick Alternate 157: Noah Goodwin 4th 165: Liam Wyman Alternate 175: Seamus Berry 3rd 285: Jacob Brengolini 2nd

Marshwood wrestling took 2nd today at Regionals! Noble took first with 286.5 points, we had 153and Cheverus took third with 146. The Marshwood girls wrestling team took 7th out of 36 at the Skowhegan Girls Tournament today. Kelsie Strong took 1st in her weight class and Savannah Chapman took 2nd in hers. Kelsie also picked up her 100th win

MHS ski results The team picked up right we left off after the first SL race of the season on Friday. Hazel Martin was the overall winner again on the girls side. Maeve Long was in second place after the first run but lost and edge and had to hike but still contributed to the team result. The girls team finished in 4th place. Connor Long continued his strong start to the season finishing in 6th place - with an impressive 4th place in the second run. Ethan Waddell continued his consistently strong skiing with his first top 10 finish of the season. The boys team finished in 2nd place. Marshwood 43 Noble 46 Hawks led 22-19 at half and had a chance late in the game, down 1, but fell short. Great effort by sophomore Finn Parker and freshman Robert Williams. Williams led the scoring with 12 points. Cooper Simms and Nick Ansara added 10 points each.

First race ski results The first race of the season was a success on many fronts- Hazel Martin was the overall winner on the girls side (winning both runs). The girls team finished in 5th place. On the boys side Connor Long had a solid first race of the season skiing in to 9th place. The boys team finished 2nd in team scores behind a very deep Falmouth team. The Marshwood/Noble/Traip/Sanford Knighthawks ice hockey lost to the Scarborough Red Storm 3-0 in Dover on Saturday. Scarborough dominated possession in this game, but the Knighthawks played stellar defense with a lot of physicality. Despite having 4 power plays, the Knighthawks could not light the lamp. Connor Lentz played extremely well, making every save that was remotely possible. Lentz stopped 29 of 31 shots that he faced, the third goal was with an empty net. The Knighthawks next game is on Saturday 1/17 vs Thornton Academy, 3 pm in Dover. Knighthawks Record: 1-9-0

Marshwood wrestling took 2nd at the Bob Walker Duals in Kennebunk. We went undefeated in our pool, beating Scarborough/Gorham, Kennebunk, Wells and Morse. We lost to Oxford Hills in the 1st place meet 49-27
