Good News from Marshwood Middle School
6th Graders Have Been Busy Giving Back to their Community
The Table of Plenty in Berwick, Maine may be across the tracks but the MMS 6th graders are all about giving back. The 6th graders just received a HUGE thank you from the Soup Kitchen for donating over 1000 items in only 12 days. In December toiletries were collected through all 12 advisories to make baskets to give out to local families in need.
There is an abundance of 6th graders that want to serve at The Table of Plenty Soup Kitchen. They just completed their second visit. Twelve students volunteer each time after school to prepare and serve a meal to families in need. Students also make desserts to bring to serve at the Soup Kitchen. Providing our students with an opportunity to give back is so rewarding for our students as they care for others in their community.
