On May 8th, Marshwood Middle School proudly hosted its first annual Wellness Summit, a full-day event dedicated to promoting mental, emotional, and physical well-being among students and staff. With the theme “Mindful and Strong,” the summit offered a variety of engaging sessions designed to help students build healthy habits, reduce stress, and feel empowered in their daily lives.
Throughout the day, students participated in hands-on workshops including yoga, mindfulness exercises, movement breaks, journaling, art practices, and nutrition-focused activities. The summit also featured local guest speakers and professionals who generously shared their time and expertise to help students explore new strategies for managing emotions, staying active, and caring for themselves and others.
Staff and students alike shared overwhelmingly positive feedback, noting that the day brought a refreshing energy to the school community and opened up valuable conversations about wellness.
We are incredibly proud of the success of our first summit and grateful to all who made it possible. We look forward to continuing this new tradition of celebrating health, balance, and strength—together.
