Congratulations to our Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest participants! Yesterday, these talented writers were honored with a special luncheon and awards ceremony hosted by our local VFW.
We are especially proud of Bennett McCann, who had the honor of reading his winning essay aloud. Bennett not only earned first place at the local level, but also went on to win the district contest and place fourth in the entire state of Maine—an outstanding accomplishment!
At the local level, Finley Getchell earned second place and Evie Randall earned third place. Additional students recognized with certificates of merit include Mina Bird Blythe, Maggie Brickett, Asa Ewing, Quinn Foxlow, Lena Hofmann, Claire Hudson, and Clara Dungelman. These students may come to the office after announcements to pick up their certificates.
