Where did you grow up and attend school?
I grew up in Portsmouth NH and attended Portsmouth High School graduating in 1987
Where did you attend college?
I attended Mount Washington Community College and graduated in 1989
Why did you want to become a teacher?
I have always known I wanted to be an educator since I was a young child. I enjoy watching students finally grasp that skill they have been working on.
Was there a particular person in your life that impacted your career choice or was your role model?
Mrs. Betts, my High school Vocational Teacher, was a vital part of my decision to attend college.
Why do you like teaching or working with kids?
I’ve enjoyed working with children. People say I have a special knack for children.
What are some things you enjoy when not in school?
When not in school I enjoy watching my son play soccer with his team. I love to go camping with my family.
What are other hobbies or interests?
I enjoy cooking, creating healthy and delicious meals. I love taking pictures of my food and sharing it.

I have been married to my husband Dennis since 2006, I have a 25-year-old stepson Andy who graduated from Marshwood in 2015 and lives in NYC, and my 13-year-old son Bryan who is an eighth-grade student at MMS, Also our beloved rescue dog Bruce Eliot he’s a coonhound retriever mix.
