Marshwood Reads

Happy February! This month schools across the state of Maine are taking on the Read to ME challenge. The Read to ME Challenge is a month-long public awareness campaign to promote childhood literacy in Maine held annually during February.

Marshwood Middle School is kicking off the challenge by introducing our new podcast called Marshwood Reads.  Each school day this month a staff member will read the first chapter or first few pages of a novel. The goal is to open the door to new book titles, authors and genres for our students.

Thank you to the MMS staff for lending their voices and sharing their reading selections with our students. Our first episode was recorded by our librarian Ms Kristy Corrvieau. She is sharing the book One Safe Place by Tania Unsworth.
