Meet Jacob Todd: Educational Technician and 7th Grade Girls Basketball Coach

*Where did you grow up and attend school?

I grew up in Keene, NH. I went to Keene Middle School and Keene High School.

*Where did you attend college?

I attended the University of New Hampshire and have a bachelor's degree in forestry.

* Why did you want to become a teacher?

I wanted to become an educator because I think it’s fun to help people understand new things, and what better place to teach than in a school.

* Was there a particular person in your life that impacted your career choice or was your role model?

I wouldn’t say any one person impacted my career choice. I just started substituting and I liked it so I went from there.

*Why do you like teaching or working with kids?

I like working with kids because it’s exciting. Every day is different and they keep you on your toes.

*What are some things you enjoy when not in school?

When not in school, I enjoy creating things, mostly out of wood. I also love traveling around the

New England coast looking for lighthouses with my fiancee.

*What are other hobbies or interests?

Like a lot of the students here at the middle school, I like playing video games too. I like sewing things like blankets and shirts, but I don’t do that enough. Also being outdoors and identifying trees is very fun for me.

 Family life

I am the youngest of 3 kids (I have an older brother and an older sister). I have been engaged since September.
