Elected to the Board of Directors in November 2020. Heather holds a B.S. in Family Studies, a minor in Education, and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of New Hampshire. She is a certified teacher (K-8) in the state of NH with several years of experience teaching 5th grade. She is well versed in elementary education, teacher mentoring, teacher evaluation, and higher education online learning teaching and student success. She was an Instructor, Field Placement Coordinator, and Advisor at Granite State College School of Education. With over a decade of experience in higher education, she has played a pivotal role in shaping numerous online programs at the University of New Hampshire, as the Associate Director of UNH Online. Most recently, she has accepted the role of Associate Dean of Online Learning at Maine College of Art & Design. Beyond her professional endeavors, Heather is deeply engaged in our community, serving previously as a volunteer in Scouts, local youth sports, parent groups and most notably serving over a decade on the South Berwick Recreation Committee. Heather enjoys traveling the world and learning about different cultures. She has traveled extensively to more than 20 different countries. Heather also enjoys skiing, field hockey, surfing, sailing, and reading. Heather moved to South Berwick in 2004 with her husband and has three children who attend Marshwood schools.
