Marshwood defeated Kennebunk 3-1.
MHS scored 3 first half goals. Graham Pruyne opened the scoring on a cross from Rowan Carter. Milo Closson scored a header from a James Melino free kick. Jason Singer corner kick for the final Marshwood goal.
Andrew Perry had 5 saves in net.

Hawks volleyball lose to Windham 3-1. A game of great highlights but not enough to overcome errors. Captains Mia Constantakos and Taylor LaBreck were all over the court tonight! Sivan Semo had a strong game at the net.

Marshwood field hockey defeats Portland 3-0. All three hawks goals by senior Reece Forrester. Strong play by Erika Parker, Elle McDaniel and Eva Hersey.

Hawks Dominate at Eliot Festival 5K Road Race
Eliot, Maine, USA, September 24, 2022
One second separated the top finishers at Saturday’s Eliot Festival 5K Road Race under sunny and windy skies. Henri Rivard, 14, of South Berwick, held the lead in the last 70 yards to beat hometown favorite Matt Daly to win in 16:39. Rivard was followed by Addie Fuller, 17, of Eliot, who won the women’s division with a time of 19:39. The 2nd and 3rd place women were Sarah McClennan, 16, of Eliot, at 20:35, and Emma Tessier, 17, of Eliot, at 20:52. All results were timed on a USATF certified 5K course. In lieu of accepting cash awards of $250 for first, $100 for second and $50 for third, these student-athletes asked to have the monies donated to Footprints Food Pantry in Kittery.
In the 14 and under age category, Maya Sanzone, 14, of South Berwick and Nathan Kelley, 14, of Eliot were your winners. Alana Day, 17 of Eliot, and Ben Byrd, 17, of Eliot, both won in the 15-17 age group.
Coach Matt Sanzone was in attendance to witness the winning performances turned in by Hawks runners. “The kids really enjoyed the race,” he said.
Over 150 runners were treated to great food, awards, and an exciting raffle after the race at Eliot Town Hall. Next year’s Eliot Festival 5K Road Race is September 30th, 2022.

James Melino had two assists while Rowan Carter, Michael Burbank, Milo Closson, and Ryan Pote each had one.
