
Marshwood takes 2nd as a team today at the Tiger Tournament in Gardiner. Kylan Berry, Rogan Boisvert, Cody Bubier, Jack Anderson, and Jacob Brengolini all got 1st. Seamus Berry got 3rd. Kelsie Strong got 4th. Cody Bubier also picked up his 100th win

The Hawks take down the Mt Ararat Eagles tonight in a 45-38 win. It was a back and forth battle most of the game but Marshwood extended the lead from the ft line in the 4th to seal the victory. Isabelle Tice lead all scoring with 17pts and the other hawks who contributed were Sarah Theriault with 10pts, Natalie Lathrop with 8pts and Emily Clark with 7pts.

Liam Tiernan’s jumper with 10 seconds remaining was the game winner as Boys Hoop wins home opener against Mt. Ararat 50-49. Tiernan game high scorer with 16 points. Ronan Garrett with 14 points and 18 rebounds. Ryan Essex added 10 points.

Big road with for boys hoop 50-49 against Westbrook. Liam Tiernan’s free throw with 6 seconds left gave hawks the lead. Tiernan scored game high 21 points, Ryan Essex added 10 and Ronan Garrett had 9. Brevan Lavin hit two big 3’s in 2nd half

With a big second half, Marshwood girls take down Westbrook with a 53-37 victory. The blue blazes brought it within 4 points in the 3rd but the hawks pulled away in 4th with big performances from Isabelle Tice and Emily Clark. Tice lead all scoring with 22pts and Sarah Theriault and Emily Clark both contributed 10pts a piece.

Marshwood went 1-2 today at the Sullivan Duels. We beat the Wolfpack (windham/westbrook) and lost to Cheverus and Kennebunk

Boys hoop lost opening night at Kennebunk 64-37. Liam Tiernan led the team with 18 points. Ronan Garrett and Ryan Essex each scored 8.

Hawk women's hoop take down the Rams in a 56-44 win. Kennebunk brought it within 4 points going into the 4th but the hawks had a big 4th quarter balanced by Theriault, Tice, and Lathrop to seal the victory. Sarah Theriault lead all scoring with 21pts and 7 rbs. Natalie Lathrop chipped in 14pts and 6 rbs and Isabelle Tice had 15pts. Marshwood host Westbrook on Tuesday.

Marshwood High School is excited to announce its plans for Recognition Night of its 1000 point basketball scorers in its schools history. We will be recognizing the seven (7) former student-athletes at MHS who achieved this mark on Monday December 30th at 2:30pm at MHS during a Girl/Boy basketball doubleheader vs Biddeford HS.
Marshwood will unveil a “1000 Point” permanent recognition board in the gymnasium that was sponsored by the Marshwood Boys Basketball boosters as well as the MHS Athletic Department. The board will list each person that has accomplished this amazing feat. Each 1000 point scorer has been invited to attend to help with the unveiling.

News from MSAD 35 SCHOOL COUNSELORS

Dear Marshwood Families:
As the holiday season is upon us, we know for many it is a time to be with family and to share traditions, which may include preparing special meals or giving presents. We also know that this may be difficult for some families this year. For those of you who are experiencing financial strain at this time, we are sharing the following local resources which may assist you and your family in making this holiday season a bit brighter.
Footprints Food Pantry (31 Old Post Rd. in Kittery): Footprints exists to reduce the impact of hunger in the community, share resources, and support the lives of those who have joined the Footprints community. They are open for food distribution on Tuesdays 5:30-6:30 PM, Wednesdays 9:30 AM-12:30 PM, and Saturdays from 9-10 AM. They also deliver to families who cannot access the food pantry in person. Neighborhood Food Pantry (912 Dow Highway, Eliot Baptist Church): Families are welcome to drop by and pick up groceries on Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 12 PM and 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM. Thursday deliveries are also available for families in need. No proof of residency, appointments or sign-up is required. Please call (207) 748-1248 or access their website here for more information.
Eliot Connects Care Kits: These kits, which were put together by local volunteers, contain items such as mittens, hats, socks, chapsticks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, holiday treats, hand warmers, art supplies and games. If you would like your student to receive a kit, please contact your student’s school counselor.

Congrats to Coach Crowley and the Math Team. The Marshwood Math Team competed in their second Pi-Cone South Conference Meet yesterday at Traip Academy, where nine high school math teams were represented. The Marshwood team earned a first-place victory with an impressive total of 178 points!
Team members included James Foss, Max Curry, Logan Alcott, Jacob Cardoza, Jack Dalton, Tommy McClellan, Judah Curry, Emily Keith, and Finn Tay. If you see any of these students, please take a moment to congratulate them on their outstanding performance!

Congratulations to the Marshwood girls cross country team who were awarded the 2024 Class A South Sportsmanship Award. This is the third time the girls team has won this award in the past 6 years.


Congratulations to Henri Rivard who finished 6th overall at the Class A state championships running a time of 16:42. He advanced to the New England Championship for the second year in a row and will race next Saturday at Wickham Park in Manchester, CT.
