MEF “Reading Buddy in a Basket” Mini-Grant
Sigrund Seekamp, Kindergarten teacher at Central School, was awarded a Marshwood Education Foundation mini-grant. The grant funded 17 different book bins with matching stuffed animals.
Mrs. Seekamp said ”My class is loving these bins! They are not only using them during reading time but also during quiet time when they are choosing to look at these books, too!”
One student said "Mrs. Seekamp, I didn't know pigs have hair!" after reading the nonfiction book.
“The stuffed animals are definitely great reading buddies. Thank you, MEF for supporting the development of the love of reading in Kindergarten!”

From Central PTO
The Monster Mile was a HUGE success! We could not have done it without all of you helping your children, without the Central School Staff and without some great local business sponsors! The weather even turned in our favor and lots of miles were run/walked and everyone had a great time. Final numbers should come out by mid week as we still have some donations coming in and added to our total. Below is information about the next PTO meeting. We hope to see some of you there.
PTO Meeting
Tuesday, November 9 @ 6:30
Central School Cafeteria
Please bring a mask and join us to debrief the Monster Mile and begin looking forward to what we can do this year.
