Hawks lost their home opener. The girls fought hard, but some inexperience cost a young roster the win tonight. Their energy and support is something to be proud off. Freshman Elise Duguay led the hawks in digs with 15. Captain Julia Sudol led the team in blocks with 6. Junior Briley Matlock led the team in kills with 8. Freshman Taylor Airey led the team in aces with 5. Junior Kyla led the team in assists with 13. There was a lot to build on tonight!
The Hawks FH team played a gritty game tonight against SoPo. They kept pressure on and eventually found the back of the cage with four goals: Q2 goals by Hazel Stout #1 sr capt, Mya Dulac #7 sr, Megan Aceto sr capt #17 & Q4 goal by Aceto, assisted by Stout. Highlight to sr GK, Makayle Stout for 20+ saves and a near shutout with SoPo's goal coming in with a minute left in the game.

Marshwood’s Carlos Carbonell-Monte beat Segal (Greely) 8-0 and then beat Post (Freeport) 6-1, 6-0 to win his singles qualifier matches in tennis.
Advances to state championship round of 50 next Thursday at Bates College.
We have moved the Falmouth Marshwood baseball game up from Thursday, April 30 at 4:30 PM to Wednesday, April 29 ( today ) at 4:30 PM. This will be a varsity only game.

Marshwood is thrilled to announce that Nellie Young has been selected Maine Volleyball All State!! Great accomplishment as only 12 make Class A All State. So congratulations Nellie!! This is also a testament to all her teammates and coaches along the way. Good day for the program!

The MHS Alpine Ski Team finished up the year strong at the Class A State Championships at Saddleback Mountain on 2/24. Hazel Martin led the girls team with a 3rd place finish in the giant slalom race and finished the day by winning the State Championship in the slalom race. Maeve Long started the day strong with an 11th place in the giant slalom race but unfortunately took a hard fall in the slalom race. The boys team was lead by Connor Long with a 13th place in the giant slalom race and Noah Drake with a 20th place in the slalom race. Both the boys and girls teams improved their overall placing from a year ago with the girls team finishing in 7th place and the boys team in 5th place. The awards ceremony was topped off with both the Boys and the Girls team being awarded the Good Sportsmanship award for Class A South - a recognition of a true team effort throughout the course of the season.
Congrats to Head Coach Eric Oberg, his assistants and our boys and girls ski teams as they were voted for the Class A sportsmanship awards this year! It's Marshwood's 8th so far just this year!

Tough loss for our hawks in semi's vs Gray but the girls played great! 50-31! They left it all out there played great! Proud of them!
Marshwood girls placed 7th out of 47 as a team in wrestling states . Kelsie Strong got 2nd and Savannah Chapman got 4th.

Wrestling State results:
We ended up taking 4th today at States. Noble took first with 168.5 points, Edward Little took 2nd with 81, Massabesic took 3rd with 80, and we tied Oxford Hills for 4th with 54.5. We had 4 placers and 2 additional wrestlers who have a chance to go to the New England Qualifier (All-States) as alternates if any of the placers drop out.
