Wrestling defeats Bonny Eagle 40-33 and 50-24 over Portland! #hawkpride

The Marshwood Noble Traip Sanford Knighthawks beat the Edward Little Red Eddies 3-1 in Auburn on Saturday. Danner Fuller had a goal and an assist for the Knighthawks. Zach Camp scored the game winner in the third on a shot from the point. The Knighthawks played well defensively, and limited the Red Eddies scoring chances. Ben Ott stood tall in net for the Hawks, stopping 20 of 21 shots including an incredible save on a point blank attempt in the third by kicking out his right pad.
The Knighthawks next game is on Wednesday 12/27 against Portsmouth in the Heuchling-Swift Holiday Classic. 8:30 pm at the Whittemore Center.

The Marshwood Noble Traip Sanford Knighthawks lost to the Gorham Rams 3-1 in Dover on Saturday. Ayden Lockard had the goal for the Hawks. A few crucial mistakes led to goals for the Rams, the Hawks couldn't get anything going offensively. Ben Ott stopped 15 of 18 shots in net for the Hawks.
The Knighthawks next game is on Monday vs. Scarborough in Dover at 6:30 pm.

Ayden Lockard had 2 goals in the 3rd period to tie it up, the second with the goalie pulled with 10 seconds left. Zach Schoff was the overtime hero with a goal from a pass in front by Emmett Hammond. Ben Ott stopped 32 of 34 shots in net.

Congratulations to sophomore Henri Rivard who finished 4th overall at the Class A cross country state championship with a career best time of 16:14. He qualified for the New England Championship race which will be held on November 11 in Belfast, Maine.
Rivard the boys team to an 8th place finish and he was joined by fellow sophomores Nate Kelley (31st place, with a career best of 17:23), Noah Tessier (52nd in 17:46), Liam Haggerty (74th, with a career best of 18:19) and Griffin Smith (89th with a career best of 18:47) who comprised the Hawks scorers. Seniors Joe Riddell (18:56, 94th) and Luke Dockham (18:57, 96th) were the other Marshwood finishers.
The girls team finished 9th overall and were led by sophomore Maya Sanzone who was 21st overall in a career best time of 20:27. Sarah McClellan was Marshwood’s #2 scorer finishing 27th in 20:45. Ava Sanzone (46th with a career best of 21:46), Laura Horvath (63rd, with a career best of 22:36), and Ava Gilmore (82nd in 23:42) were the other Marshwood scorers. Emily Keith (83rd in 24:05) and Addison Beale (85th in 24:28) rounded out the Hawks finishers.



Marshwood is proud to host Gorham in our playoff game. But we also are showing our respect to the Lewiston community with an "L" in our end zones in the wake of recent events! We are all #LewistonStrong!
