From Coach Childs Marshwood volleyball loses a tough one to Cheverus. The game was filled with some awesome rallies but in the end not enough for the Hawks. Kate England lead in team digs with 5. Sivan Semo and Nellie Young lead the team with 5 kills each. Sivan added 4 blocks to her night and Averi lead the team in assists with 7. Just a reminder of our celebration for Coach Rix to honor him by naming the Matt Rix Wrestling Center at MHS. The celebration in his honor will be held in the MHS Auditorium. Please join the ceremony that will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 2:00 pm.

From Coach Pride JV golf results Marshwood won 9-3 got an extra point for having total lowest score as a team so final score was 10-3 Total strokes Was marshwood 330 South Portland 359 Low medalist was Brody Leighten and Caleb Mcginness shooting a 51 for lowest score

From Coach Child's Marshwood hung around most of the match against a powerful Class A program. Senior Katie Sanborn lead the team in kills with 7. Junior Averi Dudley lead the team in assists with 15. Sophomore Nellie Young lead with 3 Blocks. Senior Captain Kate England lead the team with 6 digs and 3 aces. From Coach Childs: Hawks Volleyball wins over Wells High School in 3 straight sets. Wells had a strong team but it was Marshwood's night. Our offense came alive to match our defensive tenacity for the first time this season. Marshwood 25-17 Marshwood 25-23 Marshwood 25-23

Younger players and older players finally came together as a collective unit to produce the first win of the season!

Our helmet stickers came in just in time for our 1st game. We will be honoring William K "Doc" Gilbert on our FB helmets this year. Doc Gilbert passed July 27 & spent 6 decades on our sideline as our the team doctor! Ceremony on homecoming to honor him with his family on Sept 29!

8/30 golf match at Kennebunk has been postponed. Marshwood will play at Kennebunk in a make up on Mon Sept 18 at 3:45 pm w a 2:20 bus

Please come help us celebrate Matt Rix on his day here at MHS and our naming the Wrestling Center in his honor. Sat Sept 30th at 2pm in our MHS Career Center (formerly the MHS Learning Center)

REGISTRATION for Marshwood Schools Fall Sports! Dear Parents & Students, Our Fall sports sign-up portals on FormREleaf.com opened June 1st for anyone looking to play sports at Marshwood HS or Marshwood MS. Registration page is located here: https://app.formreleaf.com/organizations/search?q=Marshwood Please go on ASAP to ensure our coaches have accurate numbers of students looking to participate. The High School Fall practices begin Monday August 14th and all schedules with games and practices will be located on www.digitalsports.com. All Fall Middle School sports will have meetings on Aug 30th with practices beginning Tuesday September 5th and all schedules will be located on digitalsports as well. For eligibility purposes, the students going into grades 10-12 will have to have passed 4 classes in the fourth quarter to be eligible for any Fall activity. If they do not meet this requirement, they will be ineligible until first quarter grades are submitted and can regain eligibility."

Congrats to our baseball coaches & players for being named Class A MPA Sportsmanship Award recipients this year! See pics as they attended the A champs at USM today & were honored on the field pre game! Although they would have liked to be playing the recognition was awesome!
