The decision has been made to postpone the XC championships and football quarterfinal playoff. Xc has been move to Nov 4th. The football playoff with Gorham tonight has been moved to Tues Oct 31 at 6pm. Marshwood Athletics.

Marshwood after school announcement: All activities with exception of Football and Band will canceled this afternoon. Football and Band will practice indoors. FB 2:45-5 and Band 5:30- TBD. Late bus is canceled as well.

Football Playoff Information for Marshwood and Gorham game on Friday Oct 27th at 6pm. Gates for admission will open at 4:30pm Playoff Admission Prices: Adults $8.00 Students $5.00 Sr Citizens $5.00 ~No Sac Passes for playoffs~

Despite a 3-0 loss to Cheverus in the playoffs, the girls and coaches battled all year and played tough!! Proud of all of you!!

Congratulations to the Marshwood girls and boys cross country teams who both advanced to the Class A state championships next week in Belfast.  Sophomore Henri Rivard (5th) and senior Sarah McClellan (6th) were both medalists for the Hawks and earned SMAA all conference first team honors.  The girls team finished 4th out of 13 scoring teams and we led by McClellan (6th), Maya Sanzone (21st), Ava Sanzone (24th), Laura Horvath (45th) and Emily Keith (56th). The boys team also finished 4th out of 17 scoring teams and were led by Rivard, Noah Tessier (32nd), Nate Kelley 33rd), Liam Haggerty (59th), and Luke Dockham (68th)

Marshwood took on Kennebunk during their Senior Night. It was a nice environment and a hard fought match. Kennebunk had some terrific servers to overcome the scrappy defensive play of the Hawks. Senior Mady Denault led the team in digs. Junior Captain Averi Dudley led the team in assists and aces. Junior Captain Sivan Semo led in blocks. Seniors Katie Sanborn, Captain Kate England, Captain Katelyn Friberg and Ayla O'Leary led their team proudly to end in their final season at Marshwood. I had them as freshman and got to watch them grow into young women. The connection they have to our volleyball program will not be forgotten. From Coach Childs Marshwood and T.A proved to be a close match up. The Hawks came out to secure the first set win but couldn't capitalize to finish out the night with a win. TA wins 3-1. From Coach Childs On a night filled with excitement and buzz for Dig Pink, our girls battled all night and took South Portland to a 5th set. From Coach Childs Marshwood volleyball loses a tough one to Cheverus. The game was filled with some awesome rallies but in the end not enough for the Hawks. Kate England lead in team digs with 5.
