
Marshwood Girls Dominate; Boys Win Second Straight Race
The Marshwood cross country team travelled to Thornton Academy for a race against TA, Cheverus and Windham. The girls team put on a dominant performance, placing 5 in the top 10 for their first win of the season. Sarah McClellan won by nearly 30 seconds, covering the 5k course in 19:35. Addie Fuller was 4th, finishing in 20:42, and Maggie Chamberlain was 5th in 20:57. Emma Tesser (7th, 22:05) and Brynn Butler (9th, 23:15) rounded out the Hawks scoring. With 26 points, the Hawks overpowered Thornton (56), Cheverus (64), and Windham (69).
The boys team won for the second week in a row, with Braden Butler finishing 1st overall in 17:47 for his first varsity win. Finn Theos was 3rd in 19:00, while Hayden Sawyer (9th in 19:28), Luke Dockham (10th in 19:30), Sam DeGrappo (11th in 19:32) and Ben Byrd (12th in 19:40) formed a strong pack for the Hawks. Marshwood's 34 points were enough to beat Thornton (49), Cheverus (62), and Windham (83).
Marshwood travels to Gorham next Saturday, 9/18 to compete in the Southern Maine Classic Invitational.

Hello Everyone-
At approximately 2:30 there was a reportable accident at the entrance to Marshwood High School.
School and South Berwick responders were on scene immediately.
Involved parties were evaluated by medical personnel and released at the scene.
All students riding the bus have been collected and are on their way home.
The incident will delay the bus runs and students may not arrive home at the regular time-approximate 25 minute delay.
