Dear Marshwood Families,
We love seeing our students, families, and community come together to support Marshwood High School and Middle School athletics! These events are a great opportunity to show school spirit, cheer on our student-athletes, and have fun together. We need your help and partnership to ensure that our events remain safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.
Recently, we have experienced some challenging situations at our athletic contests, including injuries and other incidents that have raised concerns about spectator safety and supervision. To help us continue offering positive experiences for our students, families, and fans, we ask that everyone review and follow the expectations below for all athletic events held at Marshwood High School and Marshwood Middle School. Effective Immediately:
Students in Grade 8 and below must attend with a responsible adult who remains in attendance at the event. This may be a parent, guardian, family member, or another authorized adult. A current Marshwood student, including an older sibling, does not qualify as the accompanying adult. We require an adult to be present to supervise and speak on behalf of these students if an injury, incident, or other concern arises. Given the incidents we have experienced, we cannot allow students in Grade 8 and below to attend without an accompanying adult. Admission will not be permitted unless the adult is present and remains at the event.
Students must remain in designated spectator areas where they can watch the game. Loitering is not permitted in areas outside the view of the event, including behind the high school bleachers, in fields beyond fenced-off areas, or in school hallways during indoor games and contests.
Smoking and vaping are prohibited at all times on Marshwood School District grounds and inside all district facilities. This expectation applies to all students, families, and spectators attending our events.
Outside food and beverages may not be brought into event areas.
Thank you for your partnership in helping us provide a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment for our student-athletes, families, and fans. We appreciate your cooperation, understanding, and continued support of Marshwood athletics. By working together, we can ensure that our events remain a fun and welcoming place for our entire community.

What a day! Our Color Run was a huge success, and we want to send a BIG thank-you to our PTO and all of our parent volunteers who helped make it such a fun and memorable event for our students!
It was a hot one out there, and it was definitely a long, colorful day! Our PTO did an amazing job keeping everyone going with water and snacks, which were very much appreciated. We are so grateful for all of the time, energy, and support our PTO and parents put into making today happen.
And just a little reminder… your child may be coming home looking like a rainbow! 🌈 There was A LOT of color involved today, so you may want to plan accordingly when they walk through the door. 😉
Thank you to our students, staff, PTO, and parent volunteers for making the Color Run such a fantastic day!

Now Hiring Full - or Part - Time Bus Drivers!
Here is the school counselor’s RESPONSIBILITY tip of the week! If you're expected to do something, follow through and get it done on time. Set yourself up for success by using Hawk Time to look at your assignment notebook or calendar, and make a plan for the evening. Make sure you have all needed homework materials in your backpack, and that you understand your teacher's expectations. Try not to be the person who emails at 9:00 pm with, “Wait… what am I supposed to do?”
When you actually do what you say you're going to, people know they can count on you, you are dependable, and they can TRUST you!

Drop off begins at 8:30am. Students must be in advisory before 9am.

We’re thrilled to announce that late bus service is officially returning on Tuesday, September 8! 🎉 The late bus will depart from Marshwood Middle School between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM, so mark your calendars!
Heads-up: The sign-up process has changed! Students will now fill out a form on the day they stay after school to confirm their bus and stop. Teachers and coaches will be there to lend a hand, so make sure your child knows their assigned stop. 😊
Note for Rollinsford families: Children from Rollinsford will take the South Berwick late bus and will be dropped off at the Legion stop.
Let’s make this a smooth and stress-free start to late bus service! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to the school office.
