Extra, extra read all about it!

2026 is off to a great start at Marshwood Middle School! Our core value for January is honesty. Honesty means telling the truth, being fair, and doing the right thing—even when it’s hard or when no one is watching.
Honesty is when you:
Tell the truth about what happened
Take responsibility for your actions
Don’t cheat, lie, or blame others
Admit mistakes and try to fix them
Example:
If you forget to do your homework, honesty means admitting it instead of making an excuse.
Let's kick off the year with an honest start!

As we head into a new month, challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone. Try a new club, pick up a book you wouldn’t normally read, sit with someone different at lunch, or explore a new hobby. You might discover something you really enjoy—or learn something new about yourself. It’s a new month which brings new possibilities!

Marshwood students lit up the stage in this year's district musical, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, bringing Roald Dahl's magical world to life with incredible talent and heart. From the Oompa Loompas to Willy Wonka himself, the cast and crew delivered a truly sweet performance that left the audience smiling ear to ear. Our middle school cast and crew shined especially bright, with standout performances that made the show unforgettable!

Marshwood Middle School proudly collected 780 pounds of food during our annual can drive, thanks to the incredible generosity of our students, families, and staff. Your support will make a meaningful difference for local families this season. Congratulations to Mrs. Thompson's and Mrs. LaPointe's Advisories for being top contributors!

Marshwood Middle School’s Help a Household Food Drive starts this week and runs through November 17th. Each grade will collect specific items to create full meal kits for families in need—and the advisory that collects the most will win a prize. Advisory teachers: please remember to keep track of your class’s donations each day on the shared spreadsheet so we can see which grade is in the lead! Let’s show our Hawk pride and help our community! Who Can? Marshwood Can!
