Marshwood boys tennis lose 5-0 to Falmouth
Team battled hard in the first sets. Jeremy Turner & Tucker Whelan shined in a tough doubles match 6-7, 2-6. Kai Machamer returned and out in a solid performance. Finson Theos captained second doubles in a tough loss 3-6, 2-6.
Marshwood girls tennis lost 5-0 against a seasoned Falmouth team. Lucy Parker lost a close first set 7-5 and Tia Anderson won a close second set 7-5 forcing a 3rd and deciding set. Tia leveraged an aggressive net game but got edged out 6-4.
The Marshwood Hawks Varsity Baseball Team took part in the Marshwood Youth Baseball opening day, today. The boys and coaches have worked hard with the youth this year and are proud to be a part of the community.

Friday April 22 is a busy day at MHS for home events. Boys lax opens up at 11am vs Westbrook. Baseball plays Portland at 1pm and Softball hosts Falmouth at 4pm. These are home openers for lax and softball. Go Hawks! #HawkPride

Headline: MHS frosh Tia Anderson, makes it back-to-back match wins at #2 singles,(7-5),(7-5)Rachel Kovach & Rachel Johnson fought hard at #1 doubles but lost a tight 3-set match. Kiley Colman Hannah Hodges earned victories in their JV match.

Marshwood girls tennis opens season with a 5-0 win over Deering in Portland. Sam Arnold braved it for MHS on court #1, battled a seasoned opponent, and earned a hard fought straight set victory 7-5, 6-4 to kick off the season.




Congratulations to Marshwood's Eva Therrien for being one of ten current sophomores or juniors state-wide selected to attend the Maine Youth Wilderness Leadership Program! Eva will be immersed in a 9-day wilderness experience in Baxter State park this summer.

Boys Lax Games at York are being moved to tomorrow (Wed 4/20), 4pm varsity, 7v7 JV at 5:30 if the field is still okay after the varsity game. Bus at 2:45 out of lower lot.

Seacoast Media Group is proud to announce the nominees for boys hockey of the year for the Seacoast High School Sports Awards to be held in June. Marshwood's Nathan Jalbert has been named as our nominee. The winner will be the announced at the show. It is produced with support from Piscataqua Savings Bank and Mass General Brigham Sports Medicine at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. More details about the program are coming soon.
The Seacoast High School Awards show is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.

The York Police Department is hosting a R.A.D Women's Self Defense Class. Class is open to junior & senior girls. Girls from York, Kittery, Marshwood, and Wells will be invited to participate. For more information, please see the flyer in the main office window.
