Congratulations to seniors Ali Arrigoni and Kai Machamer who have been named finalists in the National Merit
Scholarship competition. Ali and Kai were selected from a nationwide pool of semifinalists, representing
less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, including the highest-scoring entrants in Maine. Ali and Kai
were selected based on their PSAT scores as well as detailed scholarship applications which considered their
academic records, participation in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership ability, employment,
and honors received.
