COVID-19 Protocols for the Class AA, A, B - MPA Basketball Tournament held at the Portland Exposition Building and Cross Insurance Arena (Portland, ME)
Spectator Guidelines - Portland Exposition Building (Expo)
Spectators at the Portland Exposition Building (EXPO) must wear face masks at all times. To enter the facility spectators must show one of the following: proof of being fully vaccinated; or a negative test result from a third-party provider, [Doctor's office, pharmacy or testing location]. PCR test within 72 hours or Antigen test within 24 hours along with a valid driver's license/student school ID. A Drs. "note of recovery" is acceptable - but we will only accept a certified note approved by a Dr./nurse that will allow a person entry into the facility if they have tested positive within 90 days - this, along with a photo ID, will be acceptable. A home test is not acceptable, given that we would have no way to verify this information. All patrons will be required to wear a mask while in the building.
Spectator Guidelines - Cross Insurance Arena (Portland, ME)
Spectators at the Cross-Insurance Arena must wear face masks while in the facility (ages 2 and older). Anyone who has had their 12th birthday and older needs to show proof of being fully vaccinated, or a negative Covid-19 Test within 72 hours prior to the event. Spectators can take a picture of their COVID-19 Vaccination card or negative test result and show that at the door. Spectators may take an at home test within 72 hours of the event. If an at-home test is used and is a negative result, the spectator can take a photo of it with a timestamp. Face masks need to be worn while in the facility.
School Teams and Team Personnel:
It is the responsibility of the Athletic Administrator to attest that all team personnel (players, coaches, athletic trainers, cheerleaders, band members, etc) meet at least one of the following criteria:
a. are fully vaccinated against COVID-19; or
b. have had a negative PCR COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to the event; or
c. have had a negative Rapid Antigen test within 24 hours of the event; or
d. participate in regular pool-testing; or
e. have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 90 days.
*When the Athletic Administrator/Building Administrator checks in with the MPA Basketball Committee, at the courtside table, they will be asked to sign an attestation form attesting to this fact.

Other Highlights
Lauryn Cruz broke the 30 foot barrier with a career best toss of 30-10 in Shot Put. This was a 32” improvement and an automatic state qualifying performance!
Hayden Sawyer collected his first career win in the 2 mile edging out a Kennebunk opponent by 0.01 and nearly broke 5 minutes in the mile with a 16+ second PR!!
Rowan Carter was 4 for 4 - four events, four wins (plus 2 school records). He is looking strong heading into the championship meets.
Lauren Hunting keeps getting better, this time with a 28”+ PR in the Shot Put, earning a spot at Southwesterns in the process
Addie Fuller comfortably won the 1 & 2 mile races, the first double win of her career!
Ryan Tarr broke 40’ in the Shot Put for the first time!

The Marshwood Noble Traip Sanford Knighthawks beat the Kennebunk Rams 4-2 at Dover Ice Arena on Wednesday.
Ryan Dumont, Truck Tellefsen, Danny Fuller, and Nathan Jalbert scored the goals for the Knighthawks. TJ Brown stopped 29 of 31 shots in net for the Knighthawks.
The Knighthawks play next in Dover on Saturday at 5:30 against Lake Region.
